We are a tight-knit team that works collaboratively. Everyone is aware of what their teammate or the founders are working on and can ask questions to learn more about the different projects and initiatives that are being worked on at any given time. We have quick check-ins every morning with the entire team on what everyone is working on and if they have any blockers. This helps keep us in line and moving fast. Beatdapp is an open-book to its employees. The founders are willing to talk in detail about current strategy, fundraising, targets and more. Mistakes happen. We are committed to ensuring we find out why and the best course of action to resolve it.

Beatdapp is built on the foundation of constantly innovating and experimenting. Our technology uses a proprietary blockchain that we spent 15 months building from the ground up. We are always testing, iterating and updating our technology to further grow our business.

For experiments, we document everything in an EID (Experiment ID). This includes our hypothesis, MVP, any data related to the experiment and our findings + next steps. Every employee can contribute their idea to test at the company. We have a slack integration that will load into a backlog of experiments from the company.

For our technology, Beatdapp spent 15 months building a proprietary blockchain protocol from the ground up. Our blockchain is capable of tracking over 1 million streams per second, per region, across every streaming service globally. We’ve filed 8 patents with 1 fully granted. It is the first blockchain capable of that much throughput.

Our team lives by these words. We take our work very seriously and all have the same common goal of making Beatdapp 3rd party standard for tracking music streams in the world. However, we all have become great friends. We have monthly team events, Friday cheers and end up out together on some weekends! Friday cheers is the team coming together at the end of the workweek. Teammates write down anonymous shoutouts, jokes and more and we put them into a box. Towards the end of the day on Friday, we all randomly go through and read them together over a few drinks!

We don't have any on-call arrangements with our employees. Employees are free to disconnect after hours and on weekends. Our staff works hard during the week to enjoy their time off with their family, friends or co-workers in their free time!

We put a lot of trust into the members of our team. Everyone shares a common goal and is responsible for their own work. Nobody is hovering over your shoulder because we have a strong foundation of trust amongst the entire team to get your work done. We have a standup at 9 AM with everyone to make sure everyone is aligned and has nothing blocking their work for that day. Since we are a smaller team, this keeps us all accountable as well. Generally, for our product and engineer roles, our Product Manager will work closely with stakeholders and ensure that everything is scoped out prior to design and development. He will also help to ensure everything moves along with minor hiccups.
